GPP Crusade #42

Two posts in one day. Crazy. But I have been busy having fun! Michelle Ward creates an art journaling challenge every month. I missed last months, couldn't let that happen again.
Welcome to my Strip Ease:

I haven't had a chance to journal on it yet, but I am thinking about taking a white out tape dispenser and making some white vertical lines (to follow the tear lines) and then journal on the white line. We shall see...

I'm off to play!

  1. Rhoda - welcome to the team! Thanks for coming to play. LOVE your pages. Great colors and patterns. I like the spread AS IS. Your idea of the white torn lines sounds cool - with big fat black sharpie journaling to play off the black that is already there.

You mentioned in your comment that the grid challenge hooked you - don't let the past deadline stop you from trying it. I add links to old challenges all the time.

  2. Oooh, you have some great papers in this. I think it'll be real fun laying down some journaling strips and then doing the writing. I scrapbook, and think I recognise some of those papers. The back one with text looks a bit like 7gypsies maybe?

  3. Michelle-that is great to know. I will finish up my grid idea and leave a link :) Thank you for the wonderful inspiration. It's so much fun to play and share!

Cathsheard-I think it might be 7Gypsies. I'm not in my room, so I can't check it, but I usually tend to pick up a number of their papers. Love their style. I've scrapbooked for over 10 years now and I always think it is funny when I see a paper I know on someone else's work. Stay tuned for my grid piece...lots more papers!!

  4. Hmmm, white tape on tears? Could be interesting, I love seeing the changing as we think and plan our art and let it grow. I also really like it this way--tearing is a wonderful way to let loose of control, isn't it?
