A Hug or A Gift

Morning,

This morning's little freebie is a sweet hedgehog. I was originally going to put a gift in his hands...but then decided to leave that up to you.

Is he giving a hug?

A gift?

I don't know...that all depends on how you decide to incorporate him into your project:

Right click to save the image, or click "here" to download it.
Enjoy :)

100 Things...

Morning,

It's been awhile. We have been busy.

The good part of busy was we were spending a lot of family time together.

Time watching movies.
Time going for walks.
Time just being silly.

School. We have been super busy with school as well. A few weeks ago I gave my english class a lesson that was both writing and some creative art. I had them write a fancy title and then fill in the paper with images and words, listing 100 things they love.

I'm sharing my title with you...and then you get to be creative and find a way to color it and list your 100 things:

I've made a 100 things list a few times. It's fun to see the way it changes, or the the things you love the most each time you list them. There are way more than 100 things that I could list...but it's a nice start :)

You can either right click the image to save it to your computer or click "here" to download it.

Happy December!

Fall Back...

Happy November!

Winter has arrived for us. We turned back our clocks and the snow started falling.

Bring on cuddles, blankets, coffee and books!

The leaves were beautiful this fall...that's probably my favorite part of fall...that and scarecrows :)

Enjoy this week's freebie. Should be super fun to color! You can right click and save the image, or click "here" to download it.

Happy Fall Ya'all

Sweet Braids...

Happy Tuesday!

It's time for another free digi. There has been a "people" theme for a while now.

Might start changing it up again next week, unless you are happy with the people...you can let me know what you would like in the comments :)

I'm always open to suggestions...

You can download "Lizzy Braids" by clicking HERE, or by right clicking and saving the image.

Happy Coloring :)

Summer Time Again...

Good Morning!

I did a little bit of drawing this weekend. Not nearly as much as I thought I would. To busy enjoying the fact that I could be a bum!

Do what I wanted as the impulse struck.

Run to town to shop for pants.

Go to a friend's for pizza and drinks.

Sleep in.

Take a nap.

Workout.

Watch movies.

Lay on the couch and listen to the rain on the roof.

Summer has begun!! :)

I did list a few new stamps in the shop. My plan is to list some more soon. If there is something specific you would like to see...leave me a quick note in the comments. I'll add it to my list :)

Have a great week!

A Matching Set...

Good Morning :)

Last week I posted a cute little girl and her bike. There were a few requests for a sweet boy and his bike as well.

So this week, we have Hayden and his bike:

You can either right click and save the image, or you can click "here" to download the image. Whichever works best for you.

Happy Coloring!

Artsy Bear...

Happy Tuesday!

I was inspired to do a few drawings this past week. My niece requested some specific pieces to use on an art collage she is making.

When a four year old tells me she needs art for a project, you can bet I get it done for her.

There is no way I will be the one stifling her creativity!! :)

She asked for a panda, hippo, and giraffe. And she needed them colored and cut out. Auntie Rhoda will be delivering on Friday!

Since it has been a week or so since I posted our last goodie, I thought I would share the bear here. He can be a regular bear, or a panda. You get to choose when you color him:

You can download him here :)

I'll be posting my other images later this week...and maybe another freebie (some colored clip art).

Hope you have a great day.

For You Sweetheart...

It's the last week of January!

I'm trying not get to excited, because I know that winter has a few more blows and blizzards to send our way. It's hard not to get all fidgety when I think about spring being only a couple of months away.

New shoots of green, spring flowers, birds chirping, and longer days. What's not to love.

It's not quite February, but I'm going to start busting out the "love" theme :)

You can download this "sweetheart" here :)

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Dancing Elves

Happy Tuesday.

Ready for your goodie?

I drew this one a few weeks ago, and then it sat on my shelf waiting to be cleaned up and posted.

You can download it here: Dancing Elf

I also printed it a few times for my daughter and I to practice painting. We worked on it for a few hours Sunday evening. I'll post the final piece when it's done.

Hope you have a great week!!

Retro Owl Bike

Morning,

I'm still here. I promise.

Last week was probably the longest week we have had so far this year. I swear we went backwards instead of forwards somewhere around Wednesday. I was wiped by Friday.

And to make up for missing our goodie on Tuesday...I am doubling up this week.

Clip art today. Free digi tomorrow.

Click here to download this sweet owl on his bike "Owl Bike" He will be great on cards, art journal pages, or framed.

Be sure and check back tomorrow for a brand new digi as well.

Enjoy!

Always Unique...

Monday.

Dang! Already?

And school with students. I'm pretty sure that summer just goes by faster and faster each year! Between working in my classroom and getting the household ready to go, I have managed a few projects.

Want a sneak peek for Tuesday's auction listing?

It took a few nights, and a LOAD of paper. I used every last scrap of a packet of Basic Grey. Holy moly :)

I also managed some drawing time:

They are both listed in my shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/RhodaDesignStudio

I'm hoping to have a free file listed by tomorrow. We'll see how the evening goes :) It's amazing how tiring school can be the first few days! I might just come home and fall on the floor...not moving for a bit.

Here's to another school year,

Rhoda

Dog Gone Cute...

Happy Monday.

This is it. The last day of our summer break. Tomorrow we go back on a schedule. Back to work.

I ran a few errands today and then spent the rest of the day doing exactly what I wanted: working with paper!

It's a fun mini album that I created from scratch. The paper piecings are my daughter's art. You can find them in my shop:

It's just Dog-Gone Cute!

And to celebrate the coming change in the seasons...I have posted a Fall Fun title. I'll try to post a free digital stamp this week as well :)

Well...that got lengthy didn't it :) Okay. I'm done for now.

Enjoy!

Rhoda

Carded

Cards.
I am back in the paper habit. My scrapbook room calls to me, and I answer :)

There have been new layouts.

New paper piecing sets.

And lots and lots of cards!

I submitted a couple of these to a publication call. Alas, they weren't chosen. But...that just means I can share them with you now!

Always,
Rhoda

Drawing, Drawing, Drawing...

Is it hot yet?

We are hitting the 90's here. The air is full of smoke. There is a fire somewhere up the valley, and maybe over the border in Idaho. Summer is in full swing.

I've been MIA. Traveling. Playing. Working. Drawing.

I am taking two online classes that are super intense. Usually, I end up sitting on my bum for two straight days just drawing. Trying to get it all done so that I can go back to playing.

We've put well over 800 miles on the car in the last 3 weeks.
Gone swimming.
Watched the Independence Day parade.
Fireworks set to music from each of the wars in the past 150 years.
Shopped the sidewalk sales.
Played in the river.
Eaten Hospice ice cream cones.
Been eaten by mosquitos.
Visited with family.
It's been AWESOME :)

My plan is to post some of my drawings when they are in am more finalized version. Or maybe a series from beginning to end. Depends on how they turn out. One class is comic drawing, the other is figure drawing. My brain is frying!

I did manage to make a new listing for the shop:

And I'm hoping to add a few more :)

Might even be something new to make from all of my scribbles, scratches, and attempted drawings in the past 3 weeks!

Happy July,

Rhoda

It's A Party!!

We had a great weekend of playing and relaxing (a nice mixture of both!).

Saturday was Hayden's birthday. 9 years old. Where does the time go?
He wanted to take some friends up to the hot springs, so we played in the pool all day. Had a picnic. Then they came home and had a sleep over. Wore themselves out!

The kids have always wanted to buy a disposable underwater camera. We bought one and took tons of pics. They should be developed by Friday. If they are any good, I'll share :)

Sunday we were all bums. Bored games. Time in the sun. A nap. Perfect!

I did get some scrapbooking in before the fun started:

It's a Party! I have it listed here on eBay. It's a girlie party...but those are so much more fun to scrap! The cupcakes and gifts are my artwork. The little girls are images from Saturated Canary. Super fun to color with Copics.

And I also colored these for the current layout that I am working on:

These are my designs that I drew and colored. It was a busy weekend!

They are all cut out and ready to be placed on a scrapbook page. Hopefully, I'll get to that stage soon!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

A Fun Project

Just wanted to post a quick photo of a project that one of my customers did with the coffee cup clip art.

She used it to make some super cute tags. She is using them for Starbucks goodies that she gave out as teacher appreciation gifts. So cute! And so much fun!

She used these coffee cup images:

And these papers for the background:

As a teacher, there are days that there is nothing that I want (or love) more than my coffee! Kids could earn A's if they just knew the right way to place my order (kidding...but only a little *wink*).

Have a great day!

Busy Little Bees

Morning.

It's Tuesday again all ready? Wow. That went by fast.

The weekend was a great one. A 5K walk on Friday in the dark. They lit the path through the trees with candles. Amazing.
A night with my sister.
Yoga.
Another walk on Sunday in the sunshine, even though it was cold.

Now, I am counting days until the break. Trying not to get excited because that just makes the days longer, but I can't wait to stay home in my pj's and drink coffee!!

Today's freebie is for all the busy bees.

I was thinking of them this weekend when I had tea and honey with my sis :)

Enjoy,
Rhoda

Holiday Carols...

Morning.

It's that time of year again. You hear Holiday music all around. I even had an impulse buy and picked up the Glee Christmas CD. Love it. Especially "Artie's" version of Little Drummer Boy.

And to celebrate all the festive music:

A caroling snowman :) You can download him here.

Enjoy :)

Seasonal Words...

Happy Tuesday!

Are you ready for your next fun treat? I have been having fun with words this week.

It must be all the reading I have been doing. Scrabble that I play. And those 7th grade English lessons.

Doesn't really matter what has caused it. I'm obsessed with words and will be listing a few more in the coming weeks.

Here's the one for you:

You can download your Happy Holidays word art by clicking here.

If you are looking for seasonal stamps to go along with your word art, be sure and check out my shop. I've added these trees, and will be adding some other fun stuff soon.

Happy Holidays :)

Something to Crow About

Happy Tuesday,

It's that time again. Where do the weeks go?

Today, I figured something that could be used for Halloween or Fall would be fun. The time of spooks and spells has past, but we can still celebrate fall and harvest, right? You can download these fun goodies here. Enjoy.

We had snow this morning. The weather forecast says "winter" before the end of the week. Yikes! That came around fast!

Happy November!
