Get Your Color On...

Wahooo it's Friday :)

Except...during the summer that really doesn't matter much. Most of the time I can't even remember what day it is...just the way I like it!

I'm sponsoring a challenge for the "Designed to Color" blog.

If you visit me regularly, you should have tons of images to color. And if you want to try to win a gift certificate to my shop, you should visit the challenge and submit some of your lovely work!

The theme is a color palette. Refreshing yellows and greens.

Check it out:

So what are you waiting for?

Go get your color on :)
Designed to Color

Have a creative weekend,

Rhoda

Friends...

Happy Tuesday!

The countdown is on for travel, family, food, and fun.

I love being able to go see my family, but these holiday's fall at the worst possible time for travel. Snowy roads. Rain. Limited daylight. I miss summer driving at times like these :)

Here is this week's fun goodie:

You can download it here: Friends

And, I am one step ahead this time and already have a colored version! Wahoo :)

There haven't been many paper crafts or cards created around here lately, but there has been a ton of drawing, coloring, and painting. I know the paper playing will come back around. It always does.

Don't forget to leave a comment on the "Just Keep Drawing" post for a chance to win a couple of free digis from my shop. I'll be choosing 3 winners tomorrow!

Always,
Rhoda

Just Keep Drawing...

I just can't seem to stop.

Draw.
Draw.
Color.
Draw.
Color.

It seems I have hit the "mojo" jack-pot. When I started working on that illustration job 3 weeks ago, it felt a little rusty and bumpy. Now, the ideas are flowing and the only thing holding me back is time. When I do get to sit down, the paper doesn't stay blank for long. I'm loving it!!

Here are a few that I worked up this week. They are all in the process of being colored or painted as well:

These are all listed in the "New" section of my shop. I'll be sure to post the final colored pieces here as well :)

I know I missed the freebie this week. Figured since it was a Friday and we could use some fun before the chaos of the Holiday's strike that I would post a giveaway today.

Post a comment and win two free digi's from my shop.
Your choice.
And...I'll choose 3 winners...so you have some pretty good odds there!

I'll do the final drawing next Wednesday the 21st before I run away for the weekend :)

Toodles,

Rhoda

It's All Crazy!!

Where did the last week go? Anyone see it?

I think it went that way ------->

Who knows. All I know is that it's a blur and that my "to do" list grew this week, instead of shrinking.

Tons of after school things this week. Lots going at school too. And I have a load of art to get finished for a client.

When it rains it pours...and sometimes, that really isn't a bad thing :)

With that said, I am just popping in for a quick "Hey! How's it going?" and then I am gone again. Here is your Tuesday goodie. I'm mixing it up a bit and giving you some digital stickers:

You can download them "HERE".
If you want them to be black and white for coloring, you can always switch them up a bit in your photo editor. Try going black and white and then deleting the greyscale.

Happy Tuesday!

Rhoda

Watch Your Mailbox!

Happy Saturday Morning!

It's time. Someone will be the proud new owner of a pile of fun...

This is the hard part. The easy part is giving it away. The hard part is choosing someone to send it to. I really wish I could send you all a sweet little something in the mail. Fun mail. Not junk mail. Bright, cheery, make you smile kind of mail.

Guess I will just have to keep cleaning my craft supplies out and saving my change for postage :)

Here you go:

Mom in Training 3 aka Laura Maxwell (who even posted on Twitter) you will be getting a super fun box in the mail sometime next week :)

Thank you all so very much for visiting, participating, and for liking me on Facebook. We should do it again soon!!

Rhoda

Just Batty...

Happy Friday!

Tomorrow is the big day for the "Pile-o-Fun" drawing. If you haven't commented on that post for a chance to win yet, you can do that here: Fun Pile

I figured it was time for a fun digital freebie as well.

This time I am doing something a little different. There are also SVG, EPS, and SCAL files in the folder.

What does that mean?

It means that if you have a handy dandy cutter (Silhouette, Wishblade, etc.) you can cut the file out without having to alter a jpg or png file in any way. I have done the work for you. Sweet!!

Here you go: Halloween Batty Title

A super fun piece that is ready for your creative endeavors :)

This is what I made with it:

It is currently for sale on eBay. That's where all the extra creations usually end up :)

Hope you have a great weekend!

Rhoda

Pile O' Fun

Happy Sunday :)

I spent the weekend being creative.

Cleaning out my space.

Adding things to my studio (slowly). I only want my favorite things there. Or the things that inspire me.

And, I created a little something for you. Something different. It's a Pile-o-Fun!

I will be giving this pile to one lucky reader.

It could be you! How you ask? Just leave me a comment here. That's it.

Want to up your odds? Like Rhoda Studio on FaceBook and tell me you did. You're in again.

Easy. Didn't even hurt :)

I like things in three. So if you want a 3rd way to win, tell your friends. Post it on your blog. Share it on FB or Twitter. After you do, post here with a link to where you are sharing and you have upped your odds.

I'll randomly pick a number on Saturday the 3rd... (your number will be assigned based on your post number...ie. first post will be #1 and on from there).

If you can't wait for this pile of goodies, I am selling some in Smash book form. They will be listed throughout the week on eBay. You can see them here.

Have a great week!! :)

Turtle-ie Enough for the Turtle Club

Happy Tuesday!

I have officially been home for a week.
No major trips.
No chasing kids.
No running around (other than a trip to Missoula yesterday to pick up my studio desk and a Costco run).

Homework. Lots of Homework.

With a little bit of scrapbooking thrown in to keep me sane!

Here is my latest creation:

Popsicle Smiles is listed on eBay currently. Let me tell you...there was a TON of hand cutting (fussy cutting) involved in that one! Everything is cut by hand except the letters that I cut with my Cricut. Phew!

It's also time for another freebie :)

You can click on the link "here" to download this cute little turtle in it's hat...and if you need help unzipping and using it, please read the "How To" page at the top of the blog. I'm off to scrapbook a bit before I start another round of homework. Wish me luck! Rhoda

Homework? What Homework?

I really should be doing my school work. Instead, I keep finding fun things to work on.

Scrapbooking.
Coloring.
Rearranging my Etsy shop.
Making new items.

See? So many other things to do besides homework!

I listed some new word art:

And listed the new owls:

Then I colored my 4th of July and Independence Day girl art. When that was all done, I created a page for eBay. It will be listed tomorrow. Follow me one Facebook or Twitter to get the link when I post it :)

It's been awhile since I posted a freebie. Are you ready for one now?

This Basketball Bear will be fun for a boys birthday or just a card to say hello to your favorite little guy :) Click HERE to download the zip file. If you need help saving and using the file, please read the How To at the top of the blog.

Phew!
That was a lot of stuff today. See? Avoiding the homework *grrr*

How Long Has it Been?

Happy Tuesday!

It's already been a super productive morning. I woke up early to go teach a Yoga class (the regular instructor had a family event come up). Normally, I practice in the late afternoons or evenings.

Morning was different. Refreshing. I am in love with Down Dog and Frog Pose. I'm ready to tackle this day! Namaste :)

Yesterday I finally went down to my craft room and scrapbooked. I can't even remember the last time I made a page. I've had the urge. The desire. Never the follow through.

Words do not describe how content I felt yesterday when I finally started putting papers together, cutting, glueing, and creating!

I listed this one on eBay. I also have another one that I am hoping to finish today. I'll post it here when I get it done.

I'm not sure which part I enjoy more...the coloring or the scrapping. Good thing I get to do both!

It's been awhile since I posted a free goodie. This happy guy is looking for some love and attention:

Download him by clicking here: Happy Dog. Directions on how to use him are posted at the top of the blog :)

Okay. I'm off to be creative.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

It's Summer Time!

Good Morning!!

It's officially the first day of summer break (the weekend doesn't really count...it always just feels like another weekend). When you wake up on that first Monday and you know you don't have to go to school...that's when it starts to feel real :)

To celebrate, I have a free digi for you.

She is super sweet!! And ready for coloring and crafting :) You can download by clicking here.

I've added some fun new things to the shop...with more on the way:

Happy Monday!

Spring is Bursting

It's been a little over a week that we have had warmer temperatures. It is amazing how much green has popped out in that short amount of time.

The current bushes are full of leaves and little pink blossoms. The yard is lush (and hubby has already mown it once!). The lilacs are about half way there.

Those are the ones I usually watch for.
They are such a dark green, and when that full leaf is on, you know it is finally spring!

And the birds singing in the morning (and the evening)...it just makes me smile :)

This little digital stamp is the perfect way to celebrate! Click on the link to download the free file. If you have questions, be sure and read the "How to Download" at the top of my blog.

Have a great Wednesday!

Coffee and a Book...

Happy April,

It's been awhile. And instead of waiting until Tuesday to post a free download, I figured I better do it today while I had time.

I think about it. Then time slips away.

Not so sure it's planning on slowing down anytime soon.
School.
Working out.
Teaching Yoga (yep, 1 day a week now, until Zumba is over and then it will be 2).
Kids.
Warmer weather.

What I am really wanting is coffee and a book. My in-laws gave me a gift card to Barnes and Noble and it is calling my name. Screaming it really :)

In honor of that, I am posting a coffee image today:

You can download them here: Coffee Cup-le.

They aren't both separate images (and not cut off). That's just the preview :)

Also. A quick FYI. If you are just now finding me, all of my free downloads are still active (I try not to delete the files or expire them). Soooo...if you click on Free... or Giveaway in the topics on the right of the screen, you can browse previous goodies.

Feel free to grab a button and add it to your blog, and tell your friends. Share the love (and creativity).

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Rhoda

Spring Fever...

I'm still here. I promise.

I am starting to get that Spring Fever feeling, and I find all sorts of things to do, except the things I should be doing.
Not sure what I was avoiding last night, but I cleaned the fridge. That is so no like me...and I keep thinking about opening windows and vacuuming everything I can get my hands on. Yep. Definitely spring!!

To make up for not listing a free goodie last week, I have a pack of them for you this week:
Click HERE to download the file. Every monster that you see in the preview will be in the file :)

Happy Spring!!

Rhoda

Owl Always Love You

They are everywhere right now.

And so darn cute.

Crocheted hats and felted shoes for babies, iPhone cases, jewelry, art, and more. You name it and you can probably find it with an owl on it.

While I was surfing through the fun ones listed on Etsy yesterday, a ceramic one caught my eye. Loved the design and the tilt of it's fat little body. I drew it out and figured I would share it with you.

It will be so much fun to color. I keep seeing blues and greens when I look at it. Not the traditional browns, but those could be fun too, with a touch of orange.

Click the link here to download the file: Flower Owl

If I have a chance today, I am thinking about watercoloring it...and then trying Copics on it.

Be sure and come back to share a link if you make something fun...I'll post your link, here on the blog, so we can all enjoy it :)

Happy Tuesday,

Rhoda

Short Week...

Happy Tuesday!

I am looking forward to a short week. It was a whirl wind weekend. Home to Salmon and time with the in-laws and my dad. Then to Missoula to see my sister. A Costco trip (yuck). Back home again to host a Bunco game.

It will be a short week. I am taking Friday off to go see my other sister and the kids. Yahoo. So excited to play again!

Here is your free download for the week (click on the "sweet girl" below...it is the link to the download):

A sweet girl in her baby doll dress. Hope you like her :)

Have a great week!

Bird Hugs...

Happy Valentine's Day.

This day is usually pretty uneventful for us. When we were dating it was a little more special.
Picnics by the river (even though it was only 45 degrees).
Candles.
Flowers.

And then we were usually working. I delivered flowers when we were in college for one of the florists. Talk about a busy busy day.

With kids it is all about the Valentine's they give at school. The class lists. The boxes with fun envelopes and stickers. Our tiny little grocery store didn't order in the fun boxes of Valentines this year. Being the slacker mom that I am, I didn't realize that until 4:45 yesterday afternoon when we ran to the store to find something for dinner and to grab the cards. What?!!

We improvised. I found some awesome freebies on the Internet. Printed them on thick art paper. Cut, cut, and cut. And now we are good to go :)

Here is your Valentine from me:

A cute little birdie hug.
From me to you :)

Happy Valentine's Day.

Rhoda

Bunny Valentine...

Morning :)

Monday is finished. Thank goodness! It was a Monday. All the way around. And it felt like the day took up a whole week. Blah.

My heart skipped a beat yesterday (and I'm sure if my laptop had a soul, it's life would have flashed before it's eyes).
One of my students bumped my coffee while he was setting his book down.
Flew all over my keyboard and mouse.
I was waiting for the smoke and fireworks. My saving grace was that I have a green silicon cover over my keys. It didn't let any moisture down into the keyboard. Phew!!

Note to self...no coffee near the computer when there are urchins around!!

Here is your Tuesday Treat:

Download this cutie for your own creative endeavors :)

Happy Tuesday!

Used to Be Long...

It's funny. I remember when I was younger, January would drag on forever. Long than forever. It's a month that really gets a bad rap.

Now. It's like any other month. And 30 days can seem long, or not nearly long enough.

Either way. Today is the last day of this January.

How about a cupcake?

It could be to celebrate that it's done, or to cheer you up because you weren't really ready for it to end.

Print it. Color it. Decorate it. Celebrate it :)

I had some time to create this weekend, and with the influence of the largest "lovely" holiday approaching, I couldn't help but be influenced by the color way.

New owls and papers. You can view them in my shop (try clicking the link under each image):

Hope you had wonderful January...here's to the next 29 days, and whatever they may bring :)

Always,
Rhoda

Almost Februrary...

It's still January, but around here it feels like it should be March.
The birds are chirping. It's raining. Not at all the way a January should be.

I was a slacker last week (I honestly can't tell you where my week went) and I didn't get a chance to blog or post any free goodies.

To make up for that, I am posting one today, and one tomorrow :)

This cute little frog is available here.

I doodled him while I was sitting at the table. Sometimes, they just pop (or hop) out of the paper. I have also listed a few new fun things in the shop.

You can find them in my Etsy Shop. More fun stuff to color. So little time :)

Happy Monday!

Rhoda
