Always Unique...

Monday.

Dang! Already?

And school with students. I'm pretty sure that summer just goes by faster and faster each year! Between working in my classroom and getting the household ready to go, I have managed a few projects.

Want a sneak peek for Tuesday's auction listing?

It took a few nights, and a LOAD of paper. I used every last scrap of a packet of Basic Grey. Holy moly :)

I also managed some drawing time:

They are both listed in my shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/RhodaDesignStudio

I'm hoping to have a free file listed by tomorrow. We'll see how the evening goes :) It's amazing how tiring school can be the first few days! I might just come home and fall on the floor...not moving for a bit.

Here's to another school year,

Sneezing and Sniffles...

It's that time of year. There are germs flying around the room...and I dodge them as best as I can.

I got hit.

I spent the weekend sleeping, sneezing, and sniffling. No fun. I have doused myself in lavender, clove, and tea tree. Burned the diffuser with thieves blend. Eaten tons of vitamin D and C. Hoping to zap this bug as fast as possible :)

Here was the one of the things I managed to accomplish this weekend, in between all my naps:

A fun tricycle to go with the other bike line art. Perfect for Christmas tags or cards.

Stay tuned for tomorrows fun freebie. I did manage to get one drawn over the weekend :)

Watch out for those flying germs. They are a doozy!!

Simply Beautiful

While I was cleaning out windowsills yesterday (not my most favorite chore), I caught a whiff of something most delicious.
My rose bush. Right outside the window. It smelled so wonderful that it was distracting!

After cleaning, I went out to fetch some blossoms to cover with vodka. Extract some essence so I can smell them again in the middle of winter.

How simply beautiful is this:I have wanted to do this for a couple of summers now, but always forget. It never fails that I remember when the blossoms are less than fresh and are starting to fall off. But not this year. I have a lovely little jar that will make me smile when it is cold and dreary outside. It's a yummy way to hold on to summer :)

Ahh! Lavender

My daughter had a sore throat yesterday. We started lavender and honey with lemon. Lots of vitamin D.
Today, no sore throat, just a nasty cough this morning.
This afternoon, my throat tickles and I just feel puny. Bring on the lavender. I'm hoping to know this germ on it's butt before it can knock me on mine :)

On a better (no pun intended *grin*) note, I was browsing eBay this morning and I had the most overwhelming urge to scrapbook. That hasn't happened in at least a year. Maybe longer. WoW! It was an intense urge, and I LOVED it. Tonight I plan on playing with paper. I might mix in some paint and other fun things, but mostly, just paper!

Happy Wednesday!
