Who's Ready for Fall?...

Happy Tuesday!

I know I'm late with this, but at least it's on the correct day, right?

It's starting to feel like Fall. Our first day of fall was rainy, cool, and perfect! We spent the day playing checkers, baking, and doodling.

I'm ready for fall colors, crisp mornings, warmer evenings, and pumpkins!

Time to get ready for fall harvest and Halloween. My favorite scrapbook papers are the Halloween theme :) You can download this little witch "here" or by clicking and saving on the image.

Sew Long Summer...

It's all done :(

We have officially started back up with the school schedule.

Back to getting up early. Coming home exhausted. Kids that are going in a bunch of different directions. Back to fitting in creative time in spare moments and on weekends.

Sew long summer!

You can download the sewing machine "here". Hopefully they will be a little more regular now that we are going to be back to a schedule. Who knows...I might even get some time to draw :)

Enjoy!

Alligator Love...

Out of all the cards I made last weekend, this one is probably my favorite.

Just can't seem to resist his cute little gator face :)

Fall Clothes...

School shopping for us is just around the corner.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around warmer clothes.

We are still in the "hottest" part of our summer. Less is better right now. Swim wear and the river is best. I'm not looking forward to trying on and buying pants. Or jackets. Or long sleeve shirts. I know we will need them, and I will love them when it's time. Just don't make me think about it yet ;)

Today's goodie is all ready to go. She has her warm jacket and fall boots. Good to go!

Click them image to save, or click "here" to download. Color her now...or save it for a day when you are all snuggled up in your warm clothes with a hot cup of tea or coffee :)

Always,

Rhoda

Buckets of Cards...

Happy Monday!

I spent the weekend in my craft room. Creating.

No motorcycles for us the weekend. Thunderstorms and rain slowed us down just a little.

It was really nice to just putz around the house, drink coffee, and play with paper. The rest of the family might have gone a bit stir crazy, but I was happy :)

I made a bucket full of cards. Really. I think my final count was 67. Not sure what came over me...I had a few ideas and the cards just started multiplying...

That was the fun part. The not so fun part was the photos, editing, and now the slow listing. I have put a few in the shop, and there are more to come.

Anyone need a card? :)

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be nice again. Most likely we will be out on our motorcycles...since it's been a handful of days that they have been parked in the garage. The freebie is scheduled and ready to go. Enjoy!!

Always,
Rhoda

Ewe Are Cute!

Morning.

This isn't as early as I had hoped it would be...but at least it is the right day of the week :)

Here are today's goodies:

You can click on each image and save them, or click the name to go to the download site :)

Might be fun to use on a card that says "I Love Ewe Sew Much" :) Just a thought.

Enjoy your week,

Rhoda

I Love Books!

Books.

The best way to make me happy. Let me read. Look at pictures. Become enchanted by the cover. It really doesn't take much.

Libraries and bookstores are my idea of a happy place. And usually the first place that I think to run away to and relax.

I was thinking the other day, how much fun would it be to go into a bookstore and start making a stack out of all the books you have read? Every single one of them. Unfortunately, most stores wouldn't have every title. I would want to stack books I read in college. Books I read when I was in grade school. Every single title that I could remember reading, form cover to cover, would be in the pile.

How big would the stack be? How tall would your pile be? Hmmmm. Sounds like fun...but I wouldn't want to put them all away when I was done!! :)

You can download this cutie "here". Or just click and save :)

Thank You Notes...

Happy Tuesday,

In the spirit of being Thankful, I figured this would be a great freebie.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Thank you for supporting me by purchasing from my shop.

Thank you for sharing your creativity with items from my shop.

Thank you for listening to me ramble.

Thank you for EVERYTHING :)

You can download the airplane and it's "thanks" trail "HERE".

Have a great Tuesday!

It's All Crazy!!

Where did the last week go? Anyone see it?

I think it went that way ------->

Who knows. All I know is that it's a blur and that my "to do" list grew this week, instead of shrinking.

Tons of after school things this week. Lots going at school too. And I have a load of art to get finished for a client.

When it rains it pours...and sometimes, that really isn't a bad thing :)

With that said, I am just popping in for a quick "Hey! How's it going?" and then I am gone again. Here is your Tuesday goodie. I'm mixing it up a bit and giving you some digital stickers:

You can download them "HERE".
If you want them to be black and white for coloring, you can always switch them up a bit in your photo editor. Try going black and white and then deleting the greyscale.

Happy Tuesday!

Rhoda

Already?

It's to soon to start thinking about Christmas. We still have fall break, Thanksgiving, holiday concerts and more between now and then. And honestly, there are other holidays that I enjoy so much more.

What I do enjoy are the colors and images. And while I am still LOVING Halloween (even more than most years) I have started to feel the tug of Christmas images.

If you are the type to get ready early or maybe even start counting the number of shopping days well in advance, then today's free file is for you :)

It even includes 3 digital papers: X-Mas Stamps. Click on the title to download your zipped freebie :)

Hope you enjoy them...I'm off to play in the Halloween paper until the call of Christmas paper becomes too strong!!

Happy Tuesday,

Rhoda

Little Bits...

Somedays, okay, most days, I have so many ideas in my head that I can only formulate a small percentage.

Or I start to process the idea and the plan and then the day ends and I stall out. Later, I come back to it and wonder which direction I was going with it.

Do you do that? Start something with a clear end in sight and then loose steam or forget what your end goal was?

The point? I had a great idea for cutting and printing my digi stamps with Silhouette. A few weeks ago. I prepped them. Cut them, printed them. Thought about how there is a "how to tutorial" in there somewhere. Then I put them on my bench, the day ended, and I didn't make it back to them.

No coloring.

No card making.

They just sat there. Along with some other printed things. I now have a "to be colored" pile.

This weekend I succeeded in coloring a couple. I even made a card!

I really really like it. It's making me formulate some other ideas. Yup. I know. More ideas...like my head isn't stuffed full of them already :) If they ever make it to fruition...I'll be sure to let you know!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Froggy Fall

Good Morning!

It's another Monday, but it's going to be a different type of week. This morning we are leaving the kids with their Papa and both of us are heading to a conference in Bozeman. About 4 hours from home.
Papa is in charge of all things "household" related, and we get a mini vacation that still counts as work.
Fine with us! We are crossing our fingers that the air is a little cleaner there and we might be able to get outside and smell fresh air again.

I was bumbling around my scrap room today, and decided to participate in a sketch challenge that is being hosted by Designs on Cloud 9 on their fan page.

It's a card that measures 5 1/2 inches square. I used two files: Smell my Feet and Sunflower Sweetie.

I'm super happy with the way it turned out. I pop dotted the top sunflower, and with the other piecings, it has a fair amount of texture.

Bring on Fall :)

Rhoda

R U ...

Are you chicken?

Heck no!

Well...maybe.

Depends on what it is. Scary movies. I'm a big ol' chicken. Heights on an old mountain logging road. Please don't ask me to look down the slope. My children feeling pain. Just thinking about it sends shivers through my skin.

Halloween ghouls and goblins (in cartoon form)...not so scary. Some of my favorite images actually :)

I created this card using scraps from some of my Halloween projects:

I created an SVG file of the chicken so I can cut it in any size I wish. This image just makes me smile. Can't help it. I look at it and I just get a silly grin on my face. Probably because I can just see this chicken hauling butt for the hen house with images of ghouls and goblins trailing behind.

Hope you enjoy it as well :)

Maybe I Want to Be...

While we were walking home from school the other day, Hayden asked me "What do you think you will come back as someday after you die?".

Hmmm. Curious that we are already thinking about our existence after death at the age of 9. Must be about the age that mortality starts to register in their conscience. So our conversation went something like this:

Me: Well, I have always wanted to be an otter. I think that is what I would choose.

Hayden: Oh. I want to be a tiger or a panther. But I don't want to live where they hunt tigers.

Me: Yeah. That wouldn't be good. I suppose you could always live where there aren't any hunters. You might be safe that way. Or you could be a panther and live in the jungle.

Hayden: I could do that. I promise not to try to eat you Mom. Maybe you could try to remember that it's me as a tiger and remind me so I don't eat you!

Me. That would work. I'll just point at a different otter and tell you to eat them, since I don't know who they used to be.

Silly conversation. But it was fun to be goofy and talk about it while we walked home. He also thinks he will be a super cute tiger cub. I asked what would happen if he wasn't a cute cub and his mom kicked him out of the den. He said he would just go get squished or something so that he could come back as a cute one.

There's a thought process for you!

It's Tuesday. Ready for a treat? I am going to go back to offering them here on my blog. Easier for you and for me, both :)

A sweet digital stamp: Daisy and Duck

Perfect for card making, coloring, scrapbooking, and more!

And for you machine cutters:

Some fun frames to cut out, decorate, and use for tags or cards.

Be sure and post a finished project if you get a chance on my Facebook page. It's a great way to be entered for a chance to win more free stuff!

Happy Tuesday!

It's Bear-able...

Tuesday!!

It's time for a free goodie.

And we can celebrate a little because even though it's Tuesday, it is officially the middle of this school week. Our fair is always on Labor Day weekend. And the majority of our kids either participate in fair events, or will be there hanging out. We don't have school Thurs.-Mon.

It's nice to ease into the new school year this way. We get to start back up, become exhausted, and then have a loooonng weekend to recover :)

Makes things a little more bear-able. Sorry. Couldn't resist :)

This little cutie will be perfect for cards, scrapbook pages, and more! If you want...you can dress it up any way you choose, or check out some of the already "dressed" ones in my shop:

Looking for digital stamps to color and decorate your own way? They are in my Etsy shop.

Hope you are having a wonderful week...no matter how long it ends up being.

Always,
Rhoda

Dog Gone Cute...

Happy Monday.

This is it. The last day of our summer break. Tomorrow we go back on a schedule. Back to work.

I ran a few errands today and then spent the rest of the day doing exactly what I wanted: working with paper!

It's a fun mini album that I created from scratch. The paper piecings are my daughter's art. You can find them in my shop:

It's just Dog-Gone Cute!

And to celebrate the coming change in the seasons...I have posted a Fall Fun title. I'll try to post a free digital stamp this week as well :)

Well...that got lengthy didn't it :) Okay. I'm done for now.

Enjoy!

More Card Making

When I mentioned that I made a pile of cards...I wasn't kidding :)

I didn't even realize how many I had made until I started cleaning off the top of my workbench. There were a stack of cards! Christmas gifts for the mother-in-law are all done:

School starts on Aug. 27th. As a teacher, the first day will be the 22nd.

Aaahhhh!! That's just around the corner.

I ran away from home to see my sister one more time before I am stuck in Montana for the winter. We are planning a trip to Barnes and Noble. Coffee. Maybe Archiver's. Some time on the green way...and anything else we can cram into the next three days!

Before I left, I added a little bit more to my shop. Love this title...wish I could be home drinking my coffee this morning and playing with paper:

My paper supplies and cutter just do not pack well for travel :)

Have a great rest of the week,

Rhoda

Merry Monday...

The family spent the weekend in Salmon.

What did I do you ask. Anything I wanted :)

Kidding. I was a bachelor-ette all weekend though. No set meal times. Ate what I wanted. Drank to much coffee. Stayed up late. Tried to sleep in, but it doesn't seem to be working for me lately.
Went fly fishing. Set up my new website. Played with my Silhouette. Perfect!

Here are my latest creations:

I'll be listing them on eBay this evening :) It's always nice to share the fun...besides, with all the creating I do, if I kept it all we would have to buy a second house to store it all. Tee hee.

Have a great (crafty) week!

Rhoda

Carded

Cards.
I am back in the paper habit. My scrapbook room calls to me, and I answer :)

There have been new layouts.

New paper piecing sets.

And lots and lots of cards!

I submitted a couple of these to a publication call. Alas, they weren't chosen. But...that just means I can share them with you now!

Always,
Rhoda

We're Adding On...

Finally had some time to play. We ran all over the Western part of the state.
Big Sky
Yellowstone
Bozeman
Big Hole
Home....I learned to fly fish. I'm addicted! Can't wait to go out and do it again :)

I've also been a tech head (it's what I do when I am not taking classes, working, or being creative). It's always related to creativity in some way or another though.

There are now SVG files listed in my Etsy shop. A number of fun files to use with the cutting machine of your choice :) Apple of My Eye is one of my favorites I think. I drew them in the car on the way home from Big Sky.
